Adoption Process
We know there are probably more scammers than legit breeders out there, and for that reason we have developed a process that not only protects our pups, but also gives our new owners a significant peace of mind. We understand there is a lot to this, but we want to be transparent, trying to answer all of your questions up front so you can make the best decision for you and your family. Please read thoroughly, and if you still have questions, we are always here to help!
VACCINE Announcement (New--Revised 9/2024)
We have received reports, with photographs, of adverse reactions shortly after receiving veterinarian administered vaccines. There have been reports by reputable veterinarians who believe vaccines for animals can do more harm than good, others disagree. It is our belief that you and your veterinarian will make the very best decisions for your animals, so we have decided to give you the option to hold (not administer) any vaccinations.
If you DO NOT want your pup to be vaccinated before delivery, you must indicate it in writing. Doing so will ensure your pup does not receive any vaccine from the breeder (worming medications will still be administered, unless those too are expressly requested to be withheld).
Email your wishes to: CnKCBoxers@yahoo.com. If no emails are received before delivery, all scheduled vaccines and worming will be administered as we always have.
Notification
-
Shortly after each stage of the breeding cycle, the website will be updated, allowing accurate tracking of the progress of the litter
-
After determining the count and sex of the pups, everyone on the Notification/Wait List will be notified
Step 1: Pup Selection
-
Start of pup selection will be determined by breeder. Feel free to look around the site until selection process begins. Potential owners will be notified and the website will be updated as soon as possible with updates. Use "Contact Us" button to communicate interest, or ask questions at any time
-
Based on the order of interest that we have received and confirmed, potential owners will be contacted and offered the opportunity to reserve a time to meet and place a hold on the pup/s of their choice--use the "Contact Us" button to communicate directly with breeder
Step 2: Placing a hold on your selection
-
Meet and Greet--2 Options
-
In person--Schedule a time to visit the pups in person and make a selection. Families are welcome. All interaction with the pups and the parents is controlled by the breeder. There is no guarantee that pups can be handled at this time
-
Video Chat--This option has been introduced for our out-of-town potential owners, and those who may wish to use video to make their selection. This option will be a video call where the breeder will showcase all of the available pups for selection
-
-
Placing a Hold--2 Items needed
-
Adoption Agreement--Each pup must have their own Adoption Agreement (Click Button below to review Adoption Agreement). This document is designed to communicate terms and conditions, and rights and responsibilities of the Breeder and the Owner. This document must be signed and delivered before a hold will be placed
-
Pup-Care Expense Fee ("Deposit")--A non-refundable fee of $400.00 will be collected before pup will be held. This deposit is used for expenses incurred in raising the pups, including veterinary care, food, vaccinations, and other misc. expenses
-
This fee must be made in cash or by Venmo--we do not accept any other form of payment at this time.
-
This fee will roll into the final purchase price
-
-
-
Once Adoption Agreement and Deposit is received, an instant hold will be placed. If the pup does not have a hold placed, it can be selected by another potential owner at any time. When pup is held, website will be updated
-
VENMO NOTE--When making a payment please be sure to select "Payment Between Friends" to avoid additional fee
Step 3: The Hardest Part--Waiting for Delivery Day
-
We do not allow subsequent visits to the pups after selection. Allowing visits puts additional stress on the breastfeeding dam, interrupts routine feeding schedules, training and bonding time for the pups, and is overly time consuming for the breeder who is focused on ensuring your pup's good health
-
We are always available for questions that may come up during this time, and the website is updated periodically with pictures and/or videos of the pups for you to follow their growth and development
-
Ad-hoc photos/videos are not offered; all photos/videos are posted to the website as time allows (usually weekly)
Step 4: Delivery Day! The BEST Step!!!
-
All new owners must take delivery of their pup in person--Special circumstance exceptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may require additional paperwork including a hold harmless agreement, and proper identification
-
A pick-up appointment will be made after the pups' final vet check-up and clearance. This will occur on or after 8 weeks of age
-
Final payment for the pup must be made in cash only--no exceptions
-
Any pups that cannot be picked-up by the scheduled time of the breeder will incur additional boarding fees. Special circumstances for late delivery will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and may still require additional, reduced fees
-
Boarding Fees: $89.00 + Tax. Per pup/Per day
-
Indoor sleeping, feeding, and hands-on play
-
Potty training/clean up
-
Vet care that may be required during stay *will be billed separately*
-
All additional fees must be paid in full before pick-up
-
-
